Hey, been getting into comp play for TF2 lately, and was just wondering what kind of settings you have to run for leagues? So far I've been running TF2 on DX8 due to hardware issues, and run an fps script, just wondering if this interferes?

This forum is going to be for the leagues portion of TF2 Rocket Arena mod. Are you asking about the way leagues are going to work for the mod or questions for Team Fortress 2 competitive play?

By the looks of his question I think he's talking about leagues in general not related to the game....
To answer that it depends on the league. Some leagues allow you to modify your settings for such issues, while others do not. Example: CAL permits the use of DX 8 and their script they have created on their forums. TGL on the other hand does NOT permit the use ANY script. In that matter, TGL only permits the modifications that are available in the "Options" panel when you load the game. So, if I were you read up the rules for each league and talk to the admins if you have any problem. ~Signed a TGL TF2 Admin

sweet! we got a TGL admin!
) and as far as the original post, why are you asking that here?woops... this post is kind of spammy... SO... time to give it some meat ![]() Crimson, are you planning to spread the word of this project to the different leagues? i'm sure that in doing so, you'd find more than a fanbase and a lot of new ideas, if they made a little news bulletin about it or a pmsg to the tf2 competators at least, i'm sure you could find more coders... food for thought as far as mister admin goes... can you hook me up with match times? i really want to spec a GOOD TF2 match... what ladder do you admin? or are you not affiliated with a specific game/ladder?

![]() Right now our seasons are on hold while the TGL handles some internal projects, and once those are done hopefully we will start our new season. We usually run our matches on Wednesday nights at the default time of 9:30PM EST. Unfortunately, we do not permit any 'random' spectators to join a TGL match unless that person who is spectating is a TGL affiliate (such as an admin or a shoutcaster). So, the only way to actually watch some of these matches is by hunting down some teams that have SourceTV or are being shoutcasted, and talk to them to see what time they will be playing at so you can watch it.

Once I am closer to a stable release, and not just a beta public release, and see how the tournament mode pans out, I might contact some leagues. There is always tons of tweaking to be done once you see the difference in just you testing it, and lots of players "testing" it, or playing it as some would call it. So once I feel like the tournament part is stable, and players have had a chance to learn the aspects of it and what not, then I probably will.
